Bacteriostatic Effect: The 100% hull decoction of this product inhibits Shigella when tested by the plate ditch method. The 4-terpineol contained in this product exerts a bacteriostatic effect on Bacillus thuringiensis in vitro.
Antiasthmatic Effect: The α-terpineol in this product has a strong antiasthmatic effect. When administered at a dose of 0.05ml/kg on guinea pig tracheal smooth muscle, its effect is stronger than that of mugwort leaf oil. 4-terpineol also has a significant antiasthmatic effect.
Aromatic Stomachic and Carminative Effects: Cardamom oil is very unstable; even when stored properly, it often easily loses its unique fragrance.
