It is used for wind-cold blockage in apoplexy, wind-cold type of common cold. It dispels wind, calms convulsions, promotes qi circulation and opens the orifices. It also applies to symptoms including cold limbs, qi syncope, epigastric pain (caused by disorders of heart and stomach qi), inability to relieve vomiting and diarrhea, internal injury with cough, and headache.
